Owl – Yellow Phospher Quill

These superbly tied ‘Owl’ CDC dries are deadly and my first choice when hunting large resident fish in shallow water. They sit perfectly in the film allowing the fish to simply sup them under.

A great fly all year on small waters and just deadly on the larger reservoirs once the fish move nearer the surface to feed.

World Champions Tip:- I tend to use 6lb fluorocarbon when fishing small dries and usually fish a single Owl. Don’t forget to false cast to keep the fly afloat after several casts or a fish.
